HDR Photography – The Lights of Tower Bridge
HDR Photography “The Lights of Tower Bridge” – Here’s a shot that I took of Tower Bridge in London, England. Probably one of the most interesting bridges to photograph at night. The Bridge also offers a great view of what I like to call “New London,” with modern buildings and architecture galore! When the sun went down, the colorful lights on the bridge reminded me of something you might see at a carnival. An interesting mix of 18th century architecture with a playful twist. The steady flow of traffic created an ideal opportunity to catch some interesting light streaks. When I finally got this clear shot, I was like a kid on Christmas morning. I couldn’t wait to get it home and process it! I spent a few hours photographing this area so stay tuned for more photos to come.
Post Processing “The Lights of Tower Bridge” – I took three bracketed shots EV (-2, 0, +2) and combined the them in Lightroom to create an HDR image. Then I used Lightroom on a single exposure (EV, 0) to create a couple of different creative versions. Next I combined the original three EV (-2, 0, +2) RAW files into Aurora HDR and also Photomatix to create another two HDR versions. Finally, I blended all my different “versions” into Photoshop to get the final image!
