HDR Photography – Rocky Shore Sunrise
Rocky Shore Sunrise: Here’s a photo that I took of Lake Huron in Ontario, Canada. While visiting some friends for the weekend, I decided to get up early and take a few shots over the water. The morning sunrise was exactly what every photographer hopes for, the perfect balance of wispy clouds, blue sky, and sunlight. The two kayaks that were lined up on the shoreline added a nice pop of color to the shot. When you’re up north, kayaking is the only way to explore the water! This shot serves as a constant reminder that it always pays off get up early and capture the sunrise.
Post Processing “Rock Shore Sunrise” – I took three bracketed shots EV (-2, 0, +2) and combined them in Lightroom to create an HDR image. Then I used Lightroom on a single exposure (EV, 0) to create a couple of different creative versions. Next, I combined the original three EV (-2, 0, +2) RAW files into Photomatix to create another HDR version. Finally, I blended all my “versions” into Photoshop to get the final image!
