Creative Edit: Rocky Shore Sunrise – Tim Martin
This is a photo of a sunrise over Lake Huron in Northern Canada. While visiting friends for the weekend, I decided to get up early and take a few shots over the water. I thought that the rocky beach and the path leading up to the lake would make a really unique shot. We had a great time exploring the lake the day before. The kayaks that we had used were nicely lined up on the shoreline, which added a nice pop of color to the shot. When you’re up north, kayaking is the only way to explore! The sky was exactly what every photographer hopes for that morning, the perfect balance of wispy clouds, blue sky and sunlight. This shot is a constant reminder to me that it always pays off get up early and capture the sunrise.
Post Processing “Rocky Shore Sunrise” I took three bracketed shots EV (-2, 0, +2). Then I combined the three exposures in Lightroom and in Photomatix to make two different HDR images. Next I used Lightroom presets to create multiple versions/samples. Finally I combined all images in Photoshop for the final image.
