The Colours of Colmar France

Colmar is one of those little hidden treasures that often gets overlooked when planning a trip to France. I found all the German influenced architecture to be exceptionally vibrant with endless photo opportunities for photographers. The central canal runs right through the city and hired boats take tourists up and down it for a leisurely ride. We came across this canal scene while looking for a place to have dinner our first night and I had to stop and grab the photo. It was the perfect mix of everything Colmar has to offer. As a final touch I included the red flowers in the foreground to add in a little dimension and perspective to the shot. I love how it all came together during post processing. I’d go back there in a heartbeat.
