HDR Photography – Early Morning Pantheon
HDR Photography “Early Morning Pantheon” – Here’s a shot that I took while I was in Rome, Italy! When traveling, you quickly learn that the most iconic places to photograph are usually crawling with people. I decided to scope out the Pantheon in the afternoon and…no surprise, there were crowds everywhere! I used my time to scope out different vantage points for when I planned to returned the next morning. Most tourist spots are usually completely empty in the morning! The next day I woke up at 4 am and started my “lively” walk to the Pantheon. When I arrived, the columns seemed to be glowing with a warm peachy tone and the building had a magical feel to it. I’m really starting to understand why they say: “The early bird catches the worm”
Post Processing “Early Morning Pantheon” – I took three bracketed shots EV (-2, 0, +2). I used Lightroom on the middle exposure (EV, 0) to create a couple of different creative versions. Next I combined the original three EV (-2, 0, +2) RAW files into the New Aurora HDR and also Photomatix to create two different HDR versions. Finally, I blended all my different “versions” into Photoshop to get the final image!
